Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up DNS Records for Your Site with Google Domains
1. Access Google Domains:
Log into your Google Domains account.
2. Locate DNS Records:
Find and click on the 'DNS' tab to view your DNS records.
3. Access Custom Resource Records:
Scroll through the DNS records page until you find the 'Custom Resource Records' section. Click the '+' symbol to commence the process of adding a new record.
4. Add First Record:
In the 'Name' field, type 'www'. Choose 'CNAME' from the 'Type' dropdown menu. In the 'Data' field, enter 's.multiscreensite.com'. Finally, in the 'TTL' field, type '1H'. After verifying the accuracy of these entries, click 'Add'.
5. Add Second Record:
For the next record, select 'A' from the 'Type' dropdown. Input '35.172.94.1' in the 'Data' field and '1H' in the 'TTL' field. Double-check the information and then click 'Add'.
6. Add Final Record:
For the last record, once again, select 'A' from the 'Type' dropdown. In the 'Data' field, type '100.24.208.97', and '1H' in the 'TTL' field. After confirming that all the data entered is correct, click 'Add'.
Note: Your custom domain will now direct to your website. Although this might occur swiftly, it can take up to 48 hours for your registrar to propagate these new DNS settings. Please allow for this full period before attempting to modify your settings again.
