Step-By-Step Guide to Setting Up DNS Records for Your Site with HostGator

1. Access HostGator Account:

Log into your HostGator domain account.

2. Navigate to Domain Section:

Scroll through your account until you find the 'Domains' section and click 'Zone Editor'.

3. Add CNAME Record:

Enter the domain name you want to use and select 'Manage' to access the DNS records. Click '+CNAME Record' in the Zone Editor and add 'CNAME' in the Type dropdown.

4. Set Record Details:

Enter 'www' for the Name. Leave TTL as default. In the Record field, type 's.multiscreensite.com', and then click 'Add Record'.

5. Add A Record:

Click '+A Record' in the Zone Editor, and select 'A' in the Type dropdown.

6. Set A Record Details:

Enter '@' for the Name and leave TTL as default. For the Record field, type '35.172.94.1', and then click 'Add Record'.

7. Add Another A Record:

Repeat step 5 and 6, but for the Record field, enter '100.24.208.97'. Click 'Add Record'.

Note: Your custom domain will now direct to your website. Although this might occur swiftly, it can take up to 48 hours for your registrar to propagate these new DNS settings. Please allow for this full period before attempting to modify your settings again.
