Step-By-Step Guide to Setting up a Custom Domain for Your Funnel With Ionos
1. Access Ionos:
Log into your Ionos account.
2. Navigate to Manage Domain:
Located in the middle of the screen, select 'Manage Domain'.
3. Access DNS Settings:
From the navigation menu, choose 'DNS'.
4. Add Record:
Select the option 'Add Record'.
5. Configure CNAME Record:
Click on 'CNAME'. For the host, input the host value generated in the Funnels app in the dashboard. For the 'Points to' field, input the value generated in the Funnels settings. Make sure to select 'Save' once you've input the necessary information.
6. Configure TXT Records:
You will need to add two TXT records to your domain. Navigate to the section where you can add a new record. From the dropdown menu, select 'TXT'. For the host, input the host value generated in the Funnels settings. For the 'TXT Value' field, input the value generated in the Funnels settings. Repeat this process for the second TXT record. Remember to select 'Save' for both records once you've input the necessary information
7. Validate Domain Configuration:
Once you've added the CNAME and TXT records in Ionos, return to Funnels settings and click on the 'Validate Domain Configuration' button. This should verify that the DNS records have been configured correctly. If they have, the domain and SSL statuses should show 'Connected'. If not, double-check the DNS records you've added in Ionos.
Note: DNS records may take 24โ48 hours to update across the entire internet. Different internet users may get different results when they try to visit or use your site during that time.
