Accessing the Conversations Application
Access Applications Menu:
Hover over the navigation bar to the left of the dashboard and select ‘Conversations’.
Step-By-Step Guide to Configuring the Live Chat
This guide helps you install the live chat on your website using the Conversations App.
1. Access Application Settings:
Inside the Conversations app, locate and click on the 'Settings' button at the top right corner of the page.
2. Add Live Chat to Your Website:
On the settings page, find and click the blue '+ Add Chat to My Website' button situated on the right side.
3. Enable the Live Chat Feature:
You'll receive a prompt displaying your active live chat codes or a message indicating you have not added live chat to any of your websites yet. If you have not added a domain, click on '+Add Live Chat' button at the bottom of the prompt.
4. Enter Your Domain:
Key in your domain, ensuring you correctly input the transfer protocol (http/https) at the start of the domain. Click the blue 'Submit' button to proceed.
Note: Incorrect transfer protocol may cause the live chat feature not to work.
5. Copy the Generated Script:
After entering your domain, you will see a generated script under it. Copy this script for the next step.
Adding the Script to Your Website
This process varies depending on the website editor you're using. Below are the general steps.
1. Access Your Website Editor:
Open your website editor and locate the end of the <body> tag on the pages you wish to have the live chat feature.
2. Paste the Copied Script:
Paste the copied script from the Conversations app just before the end of the <body> tag.
